Are you experiencing Elbow Pain?
Elbow injuries can occur with acute traumas such as a fall or accident as well as from repetitive microtrauma/ overloading such as with the commonly known “tennis elbow”. The elbow joint complex comprises of both the unique ulno-humeral hinge and the rotary radio-humeral joint, with joint traumatic injury it is the most susceptible to stiffness. Elbow disorders can often become chronic and slow to settle, with the ideal early management we aim to prevent this from occurring. Both acute and chronic elbow disorders can respond well with physio management strategies.
Depending on the nature of your elbow problem will then determine the optimal management. Your physio will provide a thorough assessment to help treatment planning
which may include specific exercises, dry needling, hydrotherapy, manual and soft tissue therapies, bracing/ taping, as well as activity advice and referral where indicated. Selecting the best exercises for your particular presentation is a critical part of us helping you overcome your neck pain and ideally prevent it from returning.
