Physiotherapy

Physio’s are university trained health professionals trained in a wide range of “physical therapy” skills. We are primary care practitioners who can effectively diagnose your muscle- skeletal problem. Once we have determined the injury diagnosis (the whats wrong) and considered the contributing causes to your problem (the why) we can then initiate an optimal treatment plan with you based on your goals.

Remedial Massage Therapy

Feeling tight, tired and stressed? Sore from some big days at work or sport? A lovely professional massage can sort you out and make you feel more energised, free and relaxed..

Massage increases blood flow and promotes circulation to the specific areas of the body being treated, softens muscle tightness and stretches connective tissues. A remedial massage can also be a beneficial adjunct to Physiotherapy following injury. Our therapists work together closely so that you get the right type and amount of treatment.

Sports Injuries

Our Physio team are well equipped to get you back on field in any chosen sport. We have worked with many elite athletes including international Olympic level across many codes. You need an expert in your corner who can give you a clear diagnosis and implement the best strategy to get you back ASAP in the safest manner and so you can perform at your best.

Dry Needling

Dry Needling utilises sterile single use acupuncture needles therapeutically to symptomatic trigger points in muscles and associated soft tissue structures. Trigger points are tender/ tight bands of muscle which can be present due to injury or overuse and cause pain when squeezed or pressed. Often a “twitch” is produced resulting in muscle relaxation, reduction of tension, increased local blood flow and pain relieving effects via stimulation of spinal reflexes.

Clinical Pilates

Clinical Pilates is a fun new scientific take on the traditional Pilates concept as originally developed by Joseph Pilates. Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists, with expertise in injury management, undergo postgraduate training which involves assessing clients via a Movement Based Classification and Treatment system.

Hands on Therapies

We believe in the selective skilful use of manual therapies and soft tissue therapies as part of an effective treatment plan with your Physiotherapist. Our clients love to feel relief of acute symptoms and increased range of movement, helping kick along recovery.
